Solution for Small Scale Forestry Harvesting on sites with poor access

This good practice is directed at communities. It is an energy efficiency initiative whose purpose is to develop solutions for Small Scale Forestry Harvesting on sites with poor access. It is innovative because it allows access to thinning which otherwise would not be completed and also will result in a more economical end harvesting. It was produced by Leitrim County Council with the input of the Renewable Energy Group members that identified a significant amount of small forestry plantations in County Leitrim (IE).
