Snow cooling in Sundsvall
This good practice is directed at buildings. It is an initiative used for cooling the County Hospital to maintain a comfortable indoor climate as well as keeping a variety of technical equipment from overheating. It is innovative because electricity consumption is greatly reduced, no Freon-based refrigerants are used and snow is cleared away. The plant, which has been in use since 2000, is the first of its kind in the world. It was produced by Sundsvall Municipality in Västernorrlands County (SE).
