The second ERNACT Interregional Management Committee (IMC) meeting of 2017 has taken place in Donegal Town (Ireland), on September. Partners of the network have got together to discuss the new project proposals to be developed for the next year. Furthermore, attendants have reviewed the results of proposals submitted in the previous 12 months, including number submitted, topics and partners participating. The ERNACT network has also reviewed the upcoming calls to identify potential project proposals.
According to Colm Mc Colgan General Manager at ERNACT, "IMC meetings are very important as they allow members of the ERNACT network to share and discuss their latest digital innovation needs and priorities, to learn of the latest EU digital agenda developments and opportunities and to agree which of the priorities should be developed to full-proposal stage for submission for EU funding".
During the meeting, the ERNACT members have also worked on the network's communication strategy, including, communication objectives, results of the latest digital campaigns and the performance and the impact of the network through our communication channels. Partners have discussed about the Financial Management too, revising the actual expenditures among others.
Derry & Belfast European Capital of Culture 2023
The Core ERNACT Region Derry City and Strabane District Council has presented its candidature to become (jointly with Belfast) the European Capital of Culture 2023. A fruitful debate has taken place during the IMC meeting as other two Core ERNACT Regions, San Sebastian (Basque Country, Spain) and Timisioara (West Romania), have been previously awarded European Capital of Culture. Therefore, the partners from Northern Ireland got the opportunity to share knowledge and learn from the experiences of these two partners.
