MINDSET expands its impact through the INCLUDE clustering project
< Go Back
MINDSET building on its work in regional mission-oriented innovation through INCLUDE, a clustering project connecting knowledge from three European projects

INCLUDE clustering project
Funded by the Interreg Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme,
INCLUDE
: Clustering Inclusive Territories Driven by Digital Innovation, brings together MINDSET, InnoGS and Innovation in Urban Planning.
Led by
ERNACT
, the 12-month project aims to help public authorities and communities work together to enhance their capacity to jointly shape and develop their territories.
Learning from complementary projects
Communities across Europe’s northern regions face many shared challenges, from climate change and skills shortages to ensuring that young people and minority groups have a voice in local decision-making.
The three projects are already exploring different ways to address these challenges. INCLUDE gives partners an opportunity to share what they have learned and consider how successful approaches could be used in other regions.
MINDSET brings its experience of Regional Mission-Oriented Innovation, or RegMOI, which helps regions bring public authorities, communities, researchers and other stakeholders together around shared societal challenges.
In return, MINDSET partners will learn from
InnoGS
’ experience in gamification and from the digital twins, virtual reality and 3D visualisation tools being explored by
Innovation in Urban Planning.
From shared knowledge to practical action
MINDSET partners will take part in INCLUDE’s Community of Practice, thematic working groups and knowledge-sharing activities. The work will focus on three areas:
• Digital technologies for community engagement
• Co-creation methods
• Engagement by young people and minority groups
Partners are gathering examples of good practice and building a portfolio, exploring how these methods and technologies could be adapted to challenges in their regions.
Building a lasting network
A key outcome of INCLUDE will be a Community of Practice connecting public authorities, universities, sectoral organisations and communities across the participating regions.
For MINDSET, this collaboration provides an opportunity to share the RegMOI approach with a wider network, introduce new digital methods into its work and strengthen the long-term impact of the project.
By connecting complementary expertise, INCLUDE will help ensure that the knowledge developed through MINDSET reaches new regions and continues to support communities in shaping their own futures.
