Solar City Program

This good practice is directed at citizens. It is a programme to allow to property owners in the municipality of Halifax to finance their solar energy projects through their property. It is an Energy Efficiency Initiative and it is innovative because the charge is placed on the property rather than the individual, which is similar to a Local Improvement Charge (LIC). It was produced by Halifax Regional Municipality in Nova Scotia (CA).
