Community Engagement & Hubs
The Community Hub Project centred on Waterlees, an area of high levels of social and economic deprivation and unemployment with significant Eastern European migrant population
A review of existing community identified the need to increase: community cohesion, healthy living activities, cross language support, access to community information, access to advice and guidance, access to job searching and e-government information.
The concept of the project was to creation a digital Community Hub in Waterlees in order to support the common goals shared by the multi-agency teams working in the area and to strengthen community cohesion and capacity through ICT and digital inclusion work.
