ERNACT is pleased to announce its participation as a partner in Data4Rural – Digital Skills and Data Management for Sustainable Rural Tourism, a newly approved Erasmus+ project aimed at strengthening the digital and data capabilities of rural tourism stakeholders across Europe.
Running for 32 months with a total budget of €400,000, Data4Rural will focus on developing an innovative vocational education curriculum tailored to the specific needs of rural actors. The project aims to empower these communities by equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to implement data-driven, inclusive, and sustainable tourism strategies.
By bridging local and EU-level efforts, Data4Rural also seeks to create new networks and connections among rural stakeholders, digital innovation experts, and policymakers. This will help to expand the impact and scalability of smart tourism solutions in Europe's rural areas.
"This project aligns with ERNACT's vision of empowering regions to thrive in the digital age, particularly in rural contexts where tailored support and digital innovation can have a transformative impact," said ERNACT General Manager, Caitriona Strain.
