“Introduction to Chatbots for the Public Sector”
, bringing together public-sector organisations to explore how artificial intelligence can transform service delivery.
The event opened with

, who introduced
Data2Sustain
and its role as a
European Digital Innovation Hub

Following this introduction,
Dr. Paul Greaney
from
Atlantic Technological University (ATU)
delivered an in-depth session on AI fundamentals, generative AI, and practical chatbot development using
Microsoft Copilot Studio
. Participants learned how to design and deploy chatbots without coding skills, making the technology accessible to all levels of technical expertise.
The workshop featured:
Morning presentations
on AI concepts, chatbot applications, and responsible use in public services.
Afternoon hands-on sessions
, where attendees built simple chatbots tailored to their organisational needs.
Key discussion points included:
Leveraging chatbots for citizen engagement and routine inquiries.
Integrating organisational knowledge bases for accurate responses.
Ensuring compliance and data protection when deploying AI solutions.
Data2Sustain
