Donegal Digital Action Plan (DDAP) highlights a strong focus on cyber resilience and skills development

Donegal Digital held its latest Action Plan meeting on 25 May at CoLab, Letterkenny, bringing together partners and stakeholders from across the region to review the final updated version of the Donegal Digital Action Plan (DDAP).

The meeting marked an important milestone in the ongoing development of the region’s digital strategy, with participants engaging in constructive discussions on progress, priorities and next steps for implementation.

Focus on Cyber Resilience and Skills Development
A key feature of the session was a series of insightful presentations focused on strengthening digital and cyber capabilities across Donegal.

Representatives from ITUS Secure Technologies and North West DEPTH shared their expertise on cyber resilience, regional capacity building and the critical role of skills development in ensuring the region is prepared for evolving digital challenges.

Donegal Digital would like to acknowledge the valuable contributions of guest speakers Clare Ryan, Paddy Hannigan, and JoAnne Kilmartin, whose insights helped inform discussions and highlighted practical approaches to strengthening cyber capacity and skills development across the region.

Collaboration Driving Digital Progress
The session also provided an important opportunity for stakeholders to explore how continued collaboration can support:
  • Digital innovation across sectors
  • Improved connectivity throughout the region
  • Enhanced cyber readiness and resilience
The strong level of engagement reflected a shared commitment to ensuring Donegal remains at the forefront of regional digital development.
