The aim of the project is to:

The overall objective is to enhance the capacity of public authorities and their communities to jointly shape and develop their territories. This will be done by clustering 3 complementary projects that take digital technologies and innovative methodologies as the foundation to actively involve their society in the definition and implementation of actions addressing their societal challenges and looking for sustainable, prosperous and resilient territories where people can live, stay and grow.

Specific objectives are to:
  • Enhancing institutional capacity of public authorities and stakeholders to implement macro-regional strategies and sea-basin strategies, as well as other territorial strategies.
  • Enhance the capacity of public authorities and their communities to jointly shape and develop their territories, by clustering three complementary projects that use digital. technologies and innovative methodologies to actively involve society in designing and implementing actions addressing societal challenges
  • Facilitate the adoption of digital innovations to enable communities to take an active role in addressing current challenges and shaping the future of their territories, by setting up and expanding a Community of Practice (initially formed by the three clustering projects and their stakeholder networks).

INCLUDE addresses the shared challenge of unlocking communities’ potential to shape prosperous, sustainable and resilient territories by tackling key barriers such as skills gaps, limited participation of young people and minority groups in decision-making, the need for climate change adaptation, and the challenge of creating enabling conditions for place-based economies; its overall objective is to strengthen the capacity of public authorities and their communities to work together to shape and develop their territories.
