The aim of the project is to:

To identify the public services in most need of policy, legislative and process changes, so as to facilitate the social, economical and cultural integration of the communities living on both sides of the border.

Specific objectives are to:
  • Evaluate the public service needs of communities and people living and working within the crossborder area.
  • Provide a more integrated public service response, on a crossborder basis, to the needs of these communities.
  • Exploration of the service delivery plans of the public service delivery agencies on both sides of the border.
  • Promote Crossborder mechanisms to build trust between different agencies on both sides of the border and their respective management and staff mechanisms.
  • Provide support to public agencies to better understand the service environment, clients, business processes and challenges, on a crossborder basis, of the other agencies in the project.
  • Identify statutory and operational limitations to joint service delivery.
  • Identify the areas where crossborder public service co-operation can occur to address crossborder mobility issues.
