The aim of the project is to:

Improve citizens' quality of life and regional economic development through the promotion of the use of wireless networks as a tool for information, training, communication

Specific objectives are to:
  • Interregional cooperation between 6 partners to promote economic development of the regions through the development of new services based on wireless technologies, through the setting up Wireless Information Centres that will encourage people to use these technologies.
  • The project will jointly design structures and specifications for the WICs; jointly promote wireless public information services; promote the project and wireless cities - using seminars, printed leaflets and website.
  • There will be 5 pilot projects to demonstrate wireless public services.
