IaaS hosts Smart Manufacturing & AI Session at Local Enterprise Week 2026
< Go Back
As part of the Local Enterprise Week, IaaS hosted a session at the CoLab.
03 March 2026
-
IaaS
project
As part of the
Local Enterprise Week 2026
, the Enterprise Ireland funded
Innovation as a Service (IaaS)
project led by
ERNACT
hosted a session titled
"
Smart Manufacturing: AI, Cybersecurity, And Your Innovation Roadmap
." The event provided a practical deep dive into how cutting-edge technologies can be integrated into traditional manufacturing environments.
By bringing together local businesses, the session moved beyond theory to show how
Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, and cybersecurity
can be applied to manufacturing.
The event featured insights from two local business at
CoLab
innovation hub:
1.
Juan Leandro Sanchez
,
ingubu.io
co-founder, who led a live demonstration with two robots to showcase Generative AI innovation and scalable software solutions in robotics.
2.
Clare Ryan
,
ITUS Protect
co-founder, who spoke about the critical challenges of modern cybersecurity, the mitigation of threats, and the importance of fair cyber insurance for businesses.
The session demonstrated that the integration of AI and robotics is not just an isolated technological upgrade, but a shift towards a more interconnected industrial ecosystem. Juan’s demonstration of Generative AI in robotics showed how production can become more autonomous and flexible, while Clare’s insights emphasized that this increased connectivity requires a proactive approach to cybersecurity to protect critical assets.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our guest speakers, Juan and Clare, for sharing their expertise, and to all the attendees whose participation made the session a great success.
