SVNP partners recently came together in County Donegal for the first series of exchange visits to local community hubs participating in the project.
The first exchange visit took place at The BASE in Stranorlar, where partners had the opportunity to learn more about the hub’s development, local context, activities and services. The visit was hosted by The BASE Manager Eunan Quinn and Leah Fairman.
Partners took part in presentations, a detailed tour of the facilities, and a Q&A session focused on good practices, shared challenges and opportunities for innovation in local community hubs.
The next combined exchange visit brought partners to gteic Carraig Airt and gteic An Tearmann. These visits provided another valuable opportunity to explore the hubs involved in the SVNP project and to discuss the role they play in supporting local communities.
Participants again took part in facility tours, followed by constructive exchanges on local needs, hub services, community engagement and future opportunities for cooperation. Special thanks go to Hubs Manager Majella Orr, and to the teams at gteic Carraig Airt and gteic An Tearmann, for warmly welcoming the SVNP partners.
These exchange visits are an important part of the SVNP project, helping partners to strengthen cooperation, share knowledge and identify practical approaches that can support innovation in community hubs across Europe. We look forward to the forthcoming exchange visits this summer at Inishowen Innovation and gteic Gweedore.
